Critical care nursing is for patients who require complex care needs, high-intensity therapies and interventions and continuous nursing vigilance. And that is precisely why our critical care service carried out by only professionals in the field. Our RNs rely upon their specialized knowledge, skills and experience while providing care to patients and create an environment that is healing, humane and caring. Under critical care, our RNs take care of patients who are suffering from failure of one or more systems in their body such as the heart, lung or kidneys. These conditions include but not limited to:
- Post Operative care & Surgical complications
- Major trauma cases resulting from road traffic accidents and falls and
- Children with special care needs
- Heart failure, after of CABG
- Stroke/ CVA
- Cancer
- COPD
When receiving an inquiry Medical Assessment is conducted by the clinical team to determine the nursing and care needs of the patient. Following the assessment an Individualized Care Plan is developed with the patient family with goals and outcomes to improve the patients’ conditions, enabling the Care Professionals to carry out their service effectively or as per the directive of the Physician/ Family Doctor. As needed, the family doctor / physician is consulted.
